Nic and Reno in Malaysia

Hi there y'all,
Just thought we'd email to let you know that we are alive and kicking, having a gorgeous time. Just got back from 11 days in Perhentian islands and off to Borneo day after tomorrow to do some diving at Sipadan. we've done lots of snorkelling and some dives, saw 10 sharks on one snorkelling trip and turtles. reno's regulator exploded 12 metres under which was quite dramatic. luckily we'd done our diving refresher skills the day before and so he knew what to do and what had happened!
Stayed in gorgeous places in beach huts. First beach we got to we were told that I should be burying myself in the sand if I wanted to get stronger legs according to Malaysian medical lore. Next place we went the woman was a little more insistent and within 10 minutes of arrival she had the spade out and was telling reno to dig. I was given a strict regime of being buried up to the waist ideally twice a day although I often only managed once while reno poured buckets of water over me. the sand and water condensing basically put gradually more and more pressure on my legs and I could feel the blood pumping around. It seems like an amazing way to get the circulation going. They told me that they use this for people with strokes. Anyway once buried the mother of 6 kids whose beach we were staying on then brought me mango, pineapple and banana shakes to drink whilst buried. I figured it definitely wasn't a bad way of going about rehabilitation. Combined with snorkelling and swimming and all the fresh air and good loving it's just about the healthiest loveliest way of life ever. She then boiled me up a whole load of jungle medicine and has told me I need to come and stay for 2 months so we can do lots of sand burying twice a day and get me better. Does seem tempting. For now though we're off on an adventure to see orangatangs and more fish.
Hope you all are well and Argentina is going well for you Serena. Good luck with your exams Ben. Tons of love to you all.
nic and reno xxxxx
